Blount County DHR
Spring 2023 Foster Parent Classes are quickly approaching!
Blount County DHR is in great need of more foster parents than ever before. You can start where you are with what you have and make a difference in a couple of kids lives at a time. Just like each parent, set of parents, and family is different, so is every child and sibling set that come into care. If we all join in together and do what we can, we can make a huge difference in the lives of children in care in Blount County!
Spring Foster Parent classes will begin on January 24th and end on April 11th. classes will be on Tuesdays from 6pm-9pm at BCDHR and will be held at 55 DHR Lane Oneonta, AL 35121 (across from Lemley Funeral Home in Oneonta). There will not be a class on March 21st.
We are continuously collecting donations for the foster family closet at DHR. You may drop items off in the lobby of the church. Items needed: Diapers (sizes 3, 4, 5); Pull-Ups; Baby Wipes; Girls & Boys Underwear (all sizes); Girls & Boys Pajamas (all sizes)
Loads of Love is our laundromat ministry. On select Sundays, teams serve those in the laundromat by paying to wash their clothes and engaging them in gospel conversations. Let us know if you are interested in serving at the laundromat or donating funds for the washing of clothes! laneia@redeemeroneonta.org

In short, we are supposed to be conduits of God’s grace to other people. We worship God by using His spiritual gifts to serve others!
