MEET CHASE
Chase is a graduate of Clay-Chalkville High School and the University of Alabama with a degree in Broadcast News. After his college graduation, God opened his eyes to the beauty of Christ and made clear to him his need for salvation. Chase repented from his sin and trusted in Christ for a relationship and was radically saved! Chase answered the call to ministry in the summer of 2011 and served in ministry as a Student Pastor for 10 years. He joined the staff at Redeemer in September of 2019 as the Student Pastor and stepped into the Lead Pastor role in October of 2021. Currently, he is pursuing his Master’s of Divinity through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He has a passion for pointing all people to the free grace and love of Jesus Christ for relationship and then helping to disciple them as they rest in and grow in the best news in the universe: the gospel of Jesus Christ. Chase and his wife Rachel were married in May of 2015 and have one child, Audrey Rose, born in February 2022. Some of his hobbies include disc golf, taking road trips, as well as hiking, camping, watching college football and reading good books. Chase and Rachel have 6 pets, although Rachel would like to have more pets because of her love for animals. Their pets are Baron the cat who likes to fetch tennis balls, Forest the 80 pound chocolate lab who thinks he’s a lapdog, Sage their adopted mix who loves to catch frisbees and go hiking, and their 4 chickens.
Chase has a desire to love and serve the people of Oneonta and Blount County. His vision in life and ministry is to make Christ known by making disciples who make disciple-makers, beginning in Oneonta and spreading to all nations. He wants to make the final words of Jesus in the Great Commission his first work and equip others to do the same!
